We offer long-term care (LTC) for residents who are no longer able to care for themselves at home. This level of care provides twenty-four-hour nursing care, including administration of all medications; assistance with personal care; meals; activities; and restorative therapy as needed. Our private-pay rate covers standard medical supplies, incontinence products, personal laundry, cable television, telephone, and other items not included at other places.
The cost of Long Term Care is the responsibility of the resident. It is the part of your personal budget for housing, food and hired help. Medicare does not pay for Long Term Care. If the resident has long-term care insurance, they can usually be reimbursed for the cost of a LTC stay within the guidelines of the policy; we will provide any paperwork necessary to submit claims. If a resident qualifies for public assistance the long term care stay may be covered by Medicaid. Assistance in applying for Medicaid may be available at the billing office.
If you are caring for a someone at home and need a break, we offer respite for short stays of at least three days up to a few weeks. Respite care is paid for in the same way as Long term care. It is not covered by Medicare.
We partner with several hospice providers. Hospice services may be covered by Medicare, but do not include room and board, so this typically costs the same as a LTC stay. In some cases, if the patient meets certain hospice "inpatient" criteria, the room and board cost may be included in the covered services.
