Meet Our Staff

Kelly Shahan 

Director of Nursing at The Anderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with 10 + years of experience in Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. She manages the nursing department, oversees care quality, ensures compliance and provides hands on care to residents daily. Her 7  years at UC Health has taught her critical thinking skills and taking care of a diverse group of people. She gained a lot of experience during the COVID pandemic while working alongside many in New York doing COVID relief. Kelly also teaches nursing students at Cincinnati State, which she loves doing.  Outside of work Kelly enjoys her two dogs, swimming and anything Disney World, “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

Steven Hartong 

Director of Rehabilitation at The Anderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. With 20+ years of experience as an occupational therapist, he specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation and environmental modification. As an experienced healthcare leader, Steve is passionate about organizational development and creating a positive workplace culture. Before joining The Anderson, he oversaw therapy department operations in 26 skilled nursing facilities as Regional VP of Therapy Operations. Outside work, Steve shares a passion for boating with his wife, Melanie, and their two children.

Morgan Malas 

Social Services Coordinator at The Anderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. With 10 years of nursing experience she specializes is helping others achieve a better quality of life, whether through discharge planning with home health care or navigating long term care decisions for residents and their loved ones. “When the social services position became available during covid I was thrilled to fill the role, helping seniors is my passion and I have never wanted to work anywhere else”. Outside of work Morgan enjoys raising her daughter Camryn and taking trips to Florida with her family.

Amy Mullins

 Activity Director and Volunteer Coordinator at The Anderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, bringing over 20 years of experience in senior engagement and programming. With her enthusiastic and personable approach, Amy creates dynamic activities that enrich the lives of residents and foster a vibrant community atmosphere. She is dedicated to designing personalized programs that promote social connection, mental stimulation, and overall quality of life for every resident. Before joining The Anderson, Amy developed her expertise in activity coordination across various senior living environments. Outside work, Amy enjoys exploring The Cincinnati Nature Center, where she combines her love of hiking with landscape photography.

Stevie Wagschal – Admissions Coordinator 

Director of Admissions at the Anderson with 15 years of experience in the Nursing Home business. Stevie has over a decade of knowledge in medical billing, which enables her to help residents understand their insurance coverage and guide them through the Medicaid assistance application process. Before joining the Anderson Stevie was a student at The University of Cincinnati where she studied Chemical Engineering and volunteered at Bethesda North Hospital. Outside of work, Stevie enjoys running Marathons and raising her 4 children with her husband.
