Medicare Open Enrollment for 2025 runs from October 15 to December 7, 2025.
During this period, those with Medicare can review their current plan and make changes to their 2026 coverage.
You can switch between Medicare Advantage and Original Medicare, change between different Medicare Advantage plans, or enroll in or change Part D prescription drug plans.
Any changes made during this time will take effect on January 1, 2026.
Be sure to verify your current providers are in network before choosing a new plan .

I live in, or recently moved out of an institution (like a nursing home or rehabilitation hospital).
What can I do?
- Join a Medicare Advantage Plan or Medicare drug plan.
- Switch from your current plan to another Medicare Advantage Plan or Medicare drug plan.
- Drop your Medicare Advantage Plan and return to Original Medicare.
- Drop your Medicare drug coverage.
When?Your chance to join, switch, or drop coverage lasts as long as you live in the institution and for 2 full months after the month you move out of the institution.
